Job Scope
As Managing Director in Vietnam, you will lead a major production site and translate the company’s global strategy into strong local execution. This role combines operational leadership, organizational development, and strategic oversight, with a clear focus on efficiency, quality, profitability, and long-term growth in Asia.
Your Responsibilities
- Strategic execution: Translate and execute the global strategy at the Vietnam production site, with a focus on efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Capacity and resource planning: Oversee machinery, materials, and workforce planning to support smooth and effective operations.
- Team leadership: Lead, inspire, and develop the operations team while strengthening the talent pipeline and overall organizational capability.
- Quality and compliance: Maintain strong quality management systems and ensure compliance with international standards and regulations.
- Operational improvement: Drive the adoption of future manufacturing technologies and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Performance management: Monitor and improve KPIs to support profitability, cost control, and operational discipline.
- HSE oversight: Safeguard health, safety, and environmental standards throughout operations.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with local and global leadership to align production with customer needs and market developments.
- Stakeholder representation: Represent the business with internal stakeholders and external partners, encouraging innovation and best-practice sharing.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering, business, or a related discipline.
- At least 15 years of professional and leadership experience in manufacturing or operations, ideally within an international environment.
- Proven track record in operational excellence, process optimization, and organizational development.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, with the ability to make sound, data-led business decisions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across functions, seniority levels, and cultures.
- Fluent English, written and spoken. Additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to relocate or be based in Vietnam.
- A leadership style that is visionary, bold, innovation-driven, and customer-focused, with strong ownership, integrity, and transparency.
