Job scope
As a Supply Chain Management Director in Suzhou, you will lead and optimize procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations while driving cost-efficiency and aligning with global sourcing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing global sourcing development plans in China, as devised by all business units.
- Oversee the implementation of all procurement-related activities for the group’s strategic projects.
- Accountable for achieving continuous cost productivity optimization through supply chain management.
- Supervise the company’s procurement, logistics, and warehouse management teams, ensuring they meet their performance targets.
- Monitor the fulfillment and enhancement of company SCM-related policies and processes, including sourcing strategy, material management, purchasing price reviews, and supplier management policies. Improve the company’s indirect material management.
- Optimize material plans to align production and project execution needs with working capital efficiency. Strengthen end-to-end process management, from incoming raw materials to the shipment of finished products.
- Collaborate with SCM-related peers from leading companies.
Requirements
- Over 15 years of work experience, including a minimum of 8 years in supply chain management, production operations management, or project management within Fortune 500 multinational corporations (MNCs).
- More than 8 years of leadership experience, managing multiple teams in an MNC environment.
- Over 5 years of proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement for industrial manufacturing companies.
- Pragmatic with strong interpersonal skills. A proven team player across functions and cultures.
- More than 3 years of hands-on experience in production or project management within an MNC.
- Master’s degree, with a bachelor’s degree majoring in mechanical, electrical, automatic control, or engineering disciplines.
- Holding an MBA is preferred. Familiarity with SAP MM, PP, and/or PM modules is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
