Current search: Suzhou-based Head of Region Greater China for a world leading manufacturer of industrial materials.

Our client is a prestigious European company and world leading manufacturer for the industrial materials market, with a century-long legacy. They’re operating strategically in China and aiming to boost their business in the China Market.

Responsibilities

  • Focus and important KPIs are on maximizing the group contribution margin, active collaboration with peers in other regions, and performing tasks for the global “Customer” organization.
  • Providing the regional setup to enable employees to work independently within the matrix structure of the group industries.
  • The Head of Region is accountable for overseeing and managing all aspects of regional sales operations and focuses on driving revenue, gross profit generation, and profitable business growth.
  • Developing and executing the regional sales strategy involves identifying market opportunities, defining target markets, and creating plans to maximize revenue and market share.
  • Overall management of the regional sales functions. This includes developing sales plans, setting targets and objectives, monitoring performance, and implementing effective sales strategies in line with industry strategies.
  • Ensuring the rapid replication of success stories within the  region in coordination with the industries. Responsible for the roll out of new products and services provided by the industries.
  • Identifying, evaluating, proposing, and integrating business opportunities, acquisitions/divestments, as well as alliances.
  • Ensuring efficient and effective setup of fabrication within the region and supporting MDs in countries and the Global Fabrication Coordinator in their efforts to streamline fabrication.
  • Accomplishing all business activities in the area of responsibility in line with relevant regulations.
  • Planning, monitoring, and reporting budgets for the area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a similar field
  • Experience working in matrix organizations
  • Foundational experience in areas such as sales, marketing, and business development
  • Strong industrial background
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Self-reliant and responsible
  • Integrity
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
