Current search: General Manager Southeast Asia, based in Ho Chi Minh City, for a global supplier of components and engineering solutions.

Our client is a leading developer, manufacturer and global supplier of sophisticated components and engineering solutions for a wide range of industries for over 100 years with the headquarter found in Switzerland.

Responsibilities

As the General Manager Southeast Asia, you will:

  • Have the capabilities to navigate in an international organization, as well as work in tandem with the partners in Europe, responsible for the overall success, efficiency, and high-quality performance of the company
  • Build and run a modern production center as well as creative and responsive product development activities to support the acquisition of new business in the sealing technology to serve the Vietnam and Southeast Pacific market
  • Lead all business unit activities at Vietnam, including full P&L responsibility, strategic planning, and domestic manufacturing operations
  • Develop strategies in line with the company’s strategy to secure business opportunities, improving revenue, market share, margin and costs
  • Gather and share marketing intelligence for automotive and industrial applications, implementing clear sales strategy, and directly supporting the sales team
  • Communicate the strategies throughout the Company and secures implementation to reach board targets

Qualifications

  • 10+ years leadership experience in sales preferably in sealing and rubber industry, or automotive parts
  • 3 to 5 years leadership experience in the Southeast Pacific market
  • Broad automotive and industrial background
  • Ability to gain commitment to agreed plans, strategy, or vision and to motivate team members to execute agreed plans
  • Ability to communicate a clear picture for direction of change and ability to engage employees by supplying a case for change and their role in it
  • Ability to develop and executive mid- and long- term strategies, at the same time the capability to quickly change the course of action based on market information
  • Outstanding communication skills with customers, partners, and team members
  • Ability to reach goals despite obstacles, setbacks and uncertainty
