Our client is a global leader in high-performance engineering materials, serving advanced manufacturing industries across Asia.

Job scope

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Asia, you will oversee and optimize manufacturing operations in China and two additional sites in the region. This executive role is responsible for driving operational strategy, production excellence, and cross-site alignment in extrusion, precision machining, and injection molding.

Responsibilities

  • Lead regional manufacturing operations across three key sites in Asia, ensuring alignment with global business strategy.
  • Drive strategic improvements in production efficiency, quality standards, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Oversee site performance, production output, and operational KPIs across multiple technologies and supply chains.
  • Ensure compliance with Chinese regulatory frameworks and global quality systems, including ISO and IATF standards.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to implement cost-effective and scalable operational strategies.
  • Build and develop high-performing operations teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across business units to streamline processes in extrusion, machining, and injection molding.

Requirements

  • Over 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations within multinational companies.
  • At least 5 years in senior leadership roles such as COO, Plant Director, or VP of Operations.
  • Deep expertise in extrusion, machining, or injection molding is highly preferred.
  • Proven understanding of Chinese regulatory compliance and quality frameworks (ISO/IATF).
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on leadership and operational execution skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
